RETURN AND EXCHANGE POLICY

At Corker Hats, we strive to ensure our customers are satisfied with their purchases. We understand that sometimes you may need to return or exchange an item. Our Return and Exchange Policy is designed to be fair and straightforward while complying with Australian Consumer Law.

ELIGIBILITY FOR RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

1.2Products are eligible for return or exchange within 30 days of the purchase date. To qualify, items must be returned in their original condition, unworn, unmarked, and in their original packaging. We do not accept returns or exchanges for products that show signs of wear or damage. Please note that there are no tags on our hats, but the hat must still be in brand-new condition.

1.2Minor variations in our handmade hats, such as the placement of eyelets, are not considered defects and are not eligible for returns. These small differences are part of the unique craftsmanship of each hat. However, if a hat is significantly flawed beyond acceptable standards, we will assess the situation based on photos and details you provide.

2.HOW TO RETURN OR EXCHANGE

2.1To initiate a return or exchange, please follow these steps:

  • Contact our team at admin@corkerhats.com within 30 days of your purchase. Include your order number, a brief description of the issue, and photos if applicable.
  • Our team will review your request and, if approved, will provide further instructions, including whether a return shipping label will be issued.
  • Once approved, return the item in its original packaging using the provided return label, if applicable.

2.2Shipping costs for returns and exchanges are handled as follows:

  • Defective or Incorrect Items: If the product is deemed faulty and or if you received the wrong item and same is proved through substantial evidence, Corker Hats will cover the return shipping costs.
  • Size Exchanges or Change of Mind: If you wish to exchange a product for a different size or return it due to a change of mind, return shipping costs will be the responsibility of the customer.

2.3For exchanges, once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will process the exchange for the requested size or provide store credit valid for up to 12 months. Store credit and exchanges are offered where a refund is not legally required.

3.DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE ITEMS

We take quality control seriously, but if you receive a damaged or defective item, please reach out to us at admin@corkerhats.com within 30 days of receiving your order. Provide your order number and clear photos of the damage or defect. We will assess the issue and determine whether a repair, replacement, or refund is appropriate. For items damaged in transit, we will investigate the matter with Australia Post and, if necessary, replace the item or provide store credit, depending on the outcome of the investigation.

4.NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS

Certain items are not eligible for return or exchange under any circumstances. These include customized or personalized items, gift cards, store credits, and any products marked as "final sale" at the time of purchase. These products are considered non-returnable and non-refundable unless they are found to be defective or incorrectly delivered according to Australian Consumer Law.

5.INSPECTION AND CONDITION OF RETURNED ITEMS

All returned items are subject to inspection upon receipt. Items must be returned in brand-new condition, unworn, unmarked, and in their original packaging to qualify for a return or exchange. If an item is found to be in unacceptable condition, such as visibly worn, damaged, or missing original packaging, Corker Hats reserves the right to refuse the return or exchange. In such cases, the item will be returned to the customer at their expense, and no refund or exchange will be issued. This inspection process ensures that all returned items meet the high standards expected by our customers.

6.TIME FRAME FOR PROCESSING RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

Once we receive your returned item, please allow up to 10 business days for processing. This timeframe includes a thorough inspection of the product to ensure it meets our return criteria. After the inspection, we will proceed with the exchange, issue store credit, or process a refund if applicable. You will be notified via email once your return has been processed. Processing times may vary depending on the nature of the return, but we strive to complete all returns and exchanges as quickly as possible.

7.PROOF OF PURCHASE

To process any return, exchange, or refund request, proof of purchase is mandatory. Acceptable forms of proof include a receipt, order confirmation email, or order number. Without proof of purchase, Corker Hats cannot process any requests. This requirement helps prevent fraudulent claims and ensures that all returns and exchanges are legitimate.

8.HANDLING LOST RETURN PACKAGES

Corker Hats is not responsible for return packages that are lost in transit. We highly recommend using a trackable shipping service and retaining your shipping receipt when returning items. This allows you to monitor the status of your return and provides proof of shipment in case of any issues. If a return package is lost during transit and tracking information is not available, Corker Hats cannot issue a refund or exchange.

9.ADDRESS FOR RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

Once your return or exchange request is approved, you will be provided with a return authorization and the address where the product should be sent. Please ensure that you include all necessary return documentation with your package. The return shipping address is: Sydney, Australia. The exact address will be confirmed in direct correspondence. Any items returned without prior authorization or to the wrong address may not be processed, and Corker Hats is not responsible for such errors. It is important that you follow the instructions provided to ensure your return is handled smoothly.

10.LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Corker Hats’ liability is limited to the original purchase price of the product and is only applicable for a period of three months from the date of purchase. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products. This includes, but is not limited to, personal injury, loss of profits, loss of business, or damages resulting from delays or failure of delivery. Our responsibility is to provide high-quality products as described, and our obligations are strictly limited to those outlined in this return and exchange policy, within the 3-month period following the purchase.

11.POLICY CHANGES

Corker Hats reserves the right to modify or update this return and exchange policy at any time without prior notice. Changes to the policy will be posted on our website, and it is your responsibility to review the policy before making a purchase. By placing an order, you agree to the terms outlined in the policy as they stand at the time of your purchase. Continued use of our website and services following any policy changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

12.JURISDICTION CLAUSE

This return and exchange policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising from the purchase or use of our products will be resolved under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in New South Wales, Australia. By purchasing from Corker Hats, you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of these courts for any legal proceedings related to this policy.
